Scope/Description:
The journal publishes papers on the general problems of biology, evolution, general cytology, ecology, genetics, adaptation of organisms, ontogenesis, theoretical biology, etc. The papers are based on new and original results or summarize the results of completed studies. The contributing authors are leading russian biologists. Original papers by scientists from other countries are also welcome. The journal also carries book reviews, articles on the history of biology, and information on congresses and conferences on the basic biological problems.
