Scope/Description:
Das Begriffspaar »Recht und Psychiatrie« markiert ein wichtiges gesellschaftliches Konfliktfeld. Immer dann, wenn für Entscheidungen in Gesetzgebung oder Rechtsprechung und für Tätigkeiten von Behörden und Institutionen sowohl rechtliche als auch psychiatrisch-psychologische Gesichtspunkte wesentlich sind, werden Grundrechte tangiert. Nur beispielhaft seien genannt: Würde des Menschen, Freiheit der Person, Leben und körperliche Unversehrtheit, Gleichheit vor dem Gesetz, Verbot der Benachteiligung wegen einer Behinderung. Die Fachzeitschrift »Recht & Psychiatrie« wurde im Jahre 1983 im Zuge der Psychiatriereformbewegung gegründet. Den Grundund Menschenrechten verpflichtet, versteht sie sich als kritisches Diskussions- und Informationsforum für die in Institutionen und Behörden, Gesetzgebung und Rechtsprechung Tätigen, für Psychiater und Psychologen, Pflegekräfte und Sozialarbeiter, Juristen und politisch Verantwortliche. Zu den Schwerpunktthemen der Zeitschrift gehören: - Psychiatrischer Maßregelvollzug und Justizvollzug - Zivilrechtliche und öffentlich-rechtliche Unterbringung - Psychiatrisch-psychologische Begutachtung - Straftäterbehandlung und Verhaltensprognose - Sozialrecht und Betreuungsrecht - Rechte von Heimbewohnern
